Mia had an interesting experience while working on the project. In the process of working on a redesign based on Nextdoor’s app, the app released its updated version. Updated version consisted of a combined “group” and “more” menu labeled "discover" which was similar to her idea. She thought that She arrived at similar results to Nextdoor’s upgraded version because She understood and sympathized with the user, and She learned that understanding the user was the first step.
